The general objective is to design of novel structural materials with optimized properties for industrial applications and to develop advanced processing technology, as well as the chemical, microstructural, and mechanical characterization.
The GOALS of the researches are divided into two main areas:
 Materials with ultra high-strength and specific properties
: Aimed to develop novel chemical and microstructural configuration
: lattice distortion, heterogeneous microstructure by partial recrystallization, dislocation-mediated plasticity, twinning- and transformation-induced plasticity
 Materials for extreme working conditions
: Aimed to improve the behaviors under very aggressive environments
: high temperature, cryogenic temperature, dynamic or impact deformation, radiation, hydrogen embrittlement, and liquid metal embrittlement
